Summer Programs

Is Your Child Dreaming of Spending the Summer with Horses?

Experience the difference at Rivendell Farm!

Our farm mission of nurturing the relationship between children and horses flows into all that we do at Rivendell Farm.  A fun filled week at our farm will be a cherished lifelong memory for your child.

Safe, fun and informative best describes the activities we have planned in our beautiful new facility.  Our Lesson horses and ponies range from our adorable Shetland ponies, Arwen and Legolas who ride and drive, our mid size Arabian, Gandalf who loves to jump and our full size horses, Sierra, Brinkley, Zan, Allegra, Aragorn and Sam.  Children of all ages will learn the following:

  • Grooming
  • Tacking up your mount
  • Riding Lessons
  • Driving Lessons
  • Breed Identification
  • Name that body part
  • Workshop fun
  • Learning about Equine Behaviors
  • Stable Management

Our instructors are equine qualified as well as CPR and First Aid certified.  Please feel free to stop by the farm for a visit and sign up for our summer programs and pick up a complete packet of information.  Call Lisa Passavant for further details 203-984-9232
